Well-established international shipping company with office in Midtown Manhattan is looking for a Vessel Operator.
Vessel Operator(Bulk)
Job Description:
AA. Monitoring ships’ performance and other voyage details to ensure compliance with charter parties and company’s Safety Management Manual (SMM) and updating various ship’s safety performance and operations database;
BB. Liaising with internal and external partners for various owners matters (external: Charterers, brokers, agents, Class, Flag/Internal: Safety, Technical, Crewing, supplying department) to facilitate ship’s operations
CC. Issuing hire statement, reviewing port disbursement account and following up with Charterers/brokers/Agent for prompt settlement.
DD. Other tasks directed by the operation manager;
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum three years’ experience as an Operator of time charter dry bulk vessel
- Strong English reading and writing ability a must
- Must be proactive and a problem solver and troubleshooter
- Organized, systematic and detail-oriented
- Must be discreet but polished in presentation and have a professional demeanor
- Must have permanent legal working status in the US
- Sea-going experience desirable but not required
- Fluency in Mandarin and written Chinese preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
