WISTA PNW is hosting a book club during the 2nd half of 2023. We will be exploring books about leadership and female influences on the maritime industry. Read all of the books… choose only one… it is up to you.

This is a new program, we can call it a “pilot,” so we will build the reading boat as we sail it. We will shift and change as we get the wind in our sails.

To start out, this is the format:

• Each WISTA Sister purchases their own books or gets the book from the library in whatever format works for them (audio, paperback, hard cover, e-book, etc…)
• We start reading the books at the beginning of the month. So book 1 reading starts on June 1st.
• We will meet every 2 weeks to discuss a quarter of the scheduled book. For example, we will meet on June 14 to discuss the first quarter of “Fierce Leadership.” On June 28, we will meet to discuss the 2nd quarter of that book… and so on.
• All book discussions will be on zoom so our WISTA Sisters from around the region and the USA can join if they are interested
• WISTA PNW Co-President, Sarah Scherer, will be facilitating the book club discussions
