The maritime industry is evolving, and women entrepreneurs are leading the charge, driving innovation, and setting new standards for success. SHIPPINGInsight and WISTA USA are once again co-hosting a breakfast event on November 20th, “Shaping the Maritime Industry: Women Entrepreneurs of WISTA USA,” at The Westin New York at Times Square prior to the opening of SHIPPINGInsight’s “Solutions Through Innovation” conference.
The breakfast event will feature remarks from The Ocean Opportunity Lab (TOOL) CEO and Founder Birgit Liodden on startups and her entrepreneurship journey as well as a panel on entrepreneurship featuring Caitlin Hardy, Founder of Ness Sea, a strategic consulting firm, who will highlight her transition to entrepreneurship; and WISTA USA President Christina Liviakis-Gianopulos, Director of Business Development at American Ship Repair, who will address the challenges of a second-generation family ownership.
This is the third year ShippingInsight and WISTA USA have collaborated on a breakfast event. Prior speakers include Lois Zabrocky, President and CEO of International Seaways; Cynthia Hudson, CEO and Founder of HudsonAnalytix; and Dorothea Ioannou, CEO of The American P&I Club, among other industry leaders.
